Superbowl Party Tips from The Ringer Pub

Throwing a big bash to celebrate your team is never an easy task, and the success of your shindig depends on a ton of factors—ambiance, food, drinks, ect.

Given all the necessities for a fun party, it’s difficult to keep track of everything while having a good time yourself. So, to help you throw the perfect party this season, we’re sharing our party planning secrets for this year’s Super Bowl!

1. Diversify your guest list.
We are lucky to have a diverse crowd of folks at The Ringer Pub. Across the bar, you can find both avid football fanatics and guys who are just along for the ride. To ensure that your party maintains a steady energy level, having a balanced mix of these two characters is an important consideration. Why, you may ask? Too many diehards can devolve into a screaming match, and too many wallflowers can lull everyone to sleep. The best line of action is finding a happy medium.

2. A touch of atmosphere isn’t going to kill you.
While no one expects you to drop a pretty penny on home décor, it’s true that a poster here or there can make your party feel like an occasion to celebrate. So, with your budget in mind, invest in a few festive items. You don’t have to go all out; maybe pick up disposable cups and plastic tablecloths in your team’s colors. For a twist, if you know you will be hosting folks rooting for both teams, establish a line down the center of the room with masking tape and decorate each side in one team’s colors.

3. Be prepared for feeding time at the zoo.
After a couple of rounds, your party animals will need to be fed. Since the main object of interest is the game, it’s best to follow the age-old atavism K.I.S.S. (Keep it simple, stupid). Take a cue from us at The Ringer Pub by serving up some chili dogs and fruit pie, or do your own thing all together. Whatever you decide, make sure there’s something edible to keep hangry partygoers at bay.

4. Alcohol
Last but not least, who could forget the true spirit of a good Super Bowl party? (Hint: it’s literally spirits.) At The Ringer Pub, we keep the energy going and the alcohol flowing, an absolute must for any successful viewing party. Maybe even suggest a friendly drinking game during halftime to reignite your party’s momentum or to quell any awkward sporting disputes.

Those are our party tips! Got a better idea? Share your own Super Bowl party secrets with us in the comments section!

And, of course, if you want to save yourself a lot of stress—and, more importantly, a big chunk of cash—invite your buddies to The Ringer Pub to watch the big game! We’ve got all your party needs covered.
